Advantages of spun cast cobalt alloys
  The centrifugal casting process leads to :  

- Fine, homogeneous, and compact grain structures.
- Improved mechanical characteristics.
- Improved machinability.
  Alacrite® alloys are cobalt base superalloys :

- Their chromium content makes them greatly corrosion resistant.
- Their cobalt content grants them excellent wear and abrasion resistance, as well as erosion and galling resistance.
- Tungsten, molybdenum, and chromium in their chemistry allow for the formation of very hard and stable carbides, providing the alacrites with cold and hot hardness.
- The stability of these carbides allows for the use of alacrites at elevated temperatures that are higher than 1470°f (i.e. 800°c).
